Campus Reform: Tarrant County College District

The political left in academia is all about "tolerance" and "academic freedom" except when it comes to free speech that is critical of their philosophies, policies, or favored constituencies.

Professor Paul Derengowski was critical of Islam and called it a "cult" during a philosophy class on world religions at Tarrant County Community College (TCCC). Two Muslim students complained to the college administration, which apparently put pressure on Derengowski to resign or face being fired.

The professor also has a personal website that is unaffiliated with TCCC and dedicated to Christian apologetics. The students also objected to what they considered offensive and inflammatory images (i.e. the World Trade Center towers and a boy holding a gun) on the site.

Islam is apparently sacred, but leftist academia has no problem when professors and administrators deride Christianity or Judaism in the most vicious ways.
